Trekking in Gokyo with excellent Outfitter organization

Third consecutive year in trekking in Nepal and third year with Outifitter Nepal! At the turn of November and December 2013, We made the trek to Gokyo benefiting, as in the previous years, the assistance of Outfitter Nepal, which proved to be very reliable and up to expectations.

Arjun is now a friend and is always prompt to respond to e-mail and to follow the program according to our needs. Bim was our excellent guide for the second year in a row, distinguishing itself for its kindness and flexibility.

Dana proved to be an efficient carrier and a champion of kindness and discretion. Thanks once again to the friends of Outfitter Nepal who have accompanied us in a wonderful experience.

It's the third consecutive year that I go trekking in Nepal between November and December and, over a total of 7 weeks, I've always found good weather (even if cold at high altitude).

Probably the period with the most stable weather of the year.

    Everest Base Camp Private Trek

Just a short message to say many thanks from us for our trek to Everest Base camp.

The Everest Base camp Trek by Outfitter Nepal was very well organised and everything ran smoothly.  Bhim was a great guide, thoroughly professional, and Kamal was a great porter and very encouraging.

They both helped and supported us and each carried my rucksack when I was struggling.  They are a credit to your company and we hope that they do well in their careers.

We have again been impressed by Outfitter's services and it was obvious on the trek that the company is well respected.  We felt lucky to be with yourselves rather than in one of the large groups on the trek.

    Once again, many thanks.

Everest Base camp with Outfitter Nepal

I booked my Everest base camp trip a good 10 months ahead of time with some friends and in the lead up I had many questions for the company. All my emails were answered promptly by Arjun in a personal and professional manner. I felt well prepared for the trip prior to departure thanks to this.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we were met by our amazing guide Birodh who took us to Hotel Moonlight, our clean and secure accommodation in town. Birodh showed us around Thamel and suggested the best places to eat and purchase gear. Pre tour information was done by the owner Raj who obviously has great pride in his business.

Due to bad weather our plans had to change slightly but the Outfitter Nepal team handled it amazingly. They kept us well informed and got us up to Lukla via helicopter to start our trek on time.

The trek itself is a one of a lifetime. Amazing views everywhere you look. Our two guides for the trek (Birodh and Suraj) were Awesome! We had a larger group (16) of varying fitness levels and they did a superb job getting us all safely up to Everset base camp and down again.

The added local information that they provided as well as special side trips to the Namche Monastery made the trip even more memorable. Other trekking groups cannot give you this. Our team of Porters were also amazing. Not only were they some of the fittest and strongest on the track but also friendly and happy to have a chat.

Poor weather at the end of our trip could have spelt disaster for some of us with connecting flights. However once again Birodh, Suraj and the Outfitter team stepped up and got us back to Kathmandu via helicopter again. I noted that there were other trekking groups that obviously did not have the same connections as Outfitter Nepal and they were left with no option but to wait out the weather and change plans.

    • If and when I go trekking again in Nepal I would go with Outfitter Nepal.
    • They are professional, well connected, knowledgeable and friendly.

    Thanks for a great trip.

    Renjo La Pass Trek

Our group recently arrived back in South Africa after our amazing Gokyo and Renjo La trek. We would like to thank everyone at Outfitter Nepal for making our trip such an unforgettable experience.

Firstly a huge thank you to Arjun for doing all the necessary paperwork and for being so efficient with his responses to my many e mails. A huge thank you to Indira , our guide for his professionalism patience and help in leading us.

Last , but by no means least to our tireless porters , Sudip and Lakpa without which we could never have undertaken our trek.

I can highly recommend Outfitter Nepal for any Himalayan Trek !! We all hope to be back in Nepal again in the not too distant future.

    Many thanks again to everyone.

    Great Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

Nepal is a good place, people are very warm and gentle, but also very enthusiastic, very beautiful Himalayan mountains, fresh air is a great ideal world.

The whole trip concern to every little detail, to take care of our needs, responsive. Spots and will give us explanations, humorous way with our laughter, alleviate a lot of walking tired.

The Annapurna Circuit and Annapurna Base camp

We did a modified Annapurna Circuit and Base Camp trek. Communication with Arjun before our arrival was very prompt.

He was very flexible and tailored the itinerary according to how many days we had in the country. Very competitive pricing for a trekking company. Upon arrival, we were helped to find our guide, who had been waiting quite some time since our flight was delayed! The only real complaint I have about the experience is that as we were being taken to the car, our guide allowed several people to take our bags.

I thought these people worked for Outfitter Nepal but they did not, and quickly began to demand $20 USD for carrying our bags for 10 feet! I was upset the guide didn't stop this from happening or warn us. I raised this issue with Arjun so hopefully this has not been a problem for others.

Besides that our guide and porter were very reliable with everything (and our porter had an uncanny ability to spot monkeys along the trail). We always started our daily hike at the scheduled time. I got altitude sickness after we left Manang and our guide supplied me with diamox. The accommodations were good; in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and on the trail.

We appreciated the fact that everything was taken care of and we didn't have to worry about hiring cars, finding good tea houses, getting lost, etc. On our last day in Kathmandu we had the complimentary city tour which was a nice bonus.

Pretty amazing experience, made a little easier by the fact that we felt safe and didn't have to worry about anything (or carry heavy packs!).

    Annapurna Base Camp trek

The trip and trek to Kathmandu and Annapurna Base Camp was 5 star. The organisation by Outfitter Nepal was first class. A guided tour around Kathmandu was informative, interesting and exciting. So sad to see the devastation caused by the earthquake, earlier this year, but inspiring to see the Nepalese people getting on with their lives.

The trek was equally well organised and Bim, our guide and the 3 porters, looked after our group of 5 brilliantly. Unfortunately, I wasn't well on the first 4 days of the trek, but Bim paced me and I was able to get to the Annapurna Base Camp, without Bim's knowledge, expertise and encouragement, I probably wouldn't have completed the trek.

However, the trek was fantastic, the scenery was stunning and seeing the sun rise over the Base Camp was one of the most inspiring things I ever seen. As a 65 year old.

I achieved a lifetime ambition and I'm now contemplating a Everest Base Camp trek, with Outfitter Nepal, next year.
