Best Season to Commence 10 days Gokyo Valley Lake Trek

Trekking in the Khumbu region is a fantastic experience in every season except monsoon. Most travelers prefer to start their journey in the spring and Autumn to experience and explore the area as the weather conditions suit activities such as trekking, hiking, and climbing. This season also offers trekkers spectacular views of green hills, blooming flowers on the trail, crystalline peaks, and the best of nature's beauty. In addition, you will also get to experience some of the most important festivals during this season while trekking in the Khumbu region.

On the other hand, in winter, the snowcapped mountains seem magical and worth the trek. Moreover, the trails and surrounding landscapes will be covered in snow, transforming the region into a winter wonderland. However, trekking in cold weather will be difficult, and you must prepare yourself with proper clothing and equipment. Besides, you must always follow the trek leader's guidelines to safely enjoy the wonders of winter on the peaceful route of the Khumbu region.

The climate and weather conditions during the Summer and Monsoon seasons will be hot, and you will experience frequent heavy rainfalls. So, the trails will be muddy and sloppy, making it difficult for you to trek in the high-altitude area of the region. Regardless, you can enjoy magnificent clear views of the Himalayas and the surrounding region after the rainfall has stopped and the dust has settled from the atmosphere.

Gokyo Valley Trek Cost Details

Generally, our 10 Days Gokyo Valley Trek Cost between USD and USD. However, the trip's total price depends on the type of services you prefer and the group size. Exciting Lukla Flight to Gokyo Valley

One of the easiest ways to reach Lukla from Kathmandu or any other major city in Nepal is by taking a flight to Tenzing-Hillar Airport. It is one of the highest and most extreme airports in the world. The airport is built on a narrow plateau just beside a cliff. Besides, surrounded by some of the highest mountain peaks in the world, the weather conditions in this region are unpredictable and will change frequently. As a result, flights will only operate when the weather is stable with visible clarity of the atmosphere. So, the chances of getting your flight canceled must be considered. In such cases, the Gokyo Valley Trek will be extended by a day or two.

Besides, due to the increased number of flights during the peak season of Spring and Autumn, flights will be operated from Manthali in Ramechhap district, which is just 132 km from Kathmandu, a 4 hr 30 mins drive. Regardless, you can book an early ticket from an airline company to secure a direct flight from Kathmandu to Lukla.

You get to see some of the highest mountains in the world as you hike past the region's diverse landscapes. Along the way, you will be greeted by glorious views of Kantega (6,782 m), Kongde Ri (6,187 m), Chamlang (7,319 m), Thamserku (6,608 m), and Ama Dablam (6,812 m).
