Today marks the beginning of our exciting Luxury EBC Chola Pass Gokyo Trek. After enjoying an early morning breakfast, you will be transported to the airport. Our staff members will help you with the luggage, and the scenic flight to Lukla begins shortly. On the way, you will witness glorious aerial views of green hills, rivers, and towering mountain peaks. Upon your arrival at the Tenzing Norgay Aiport ta Lukla, we will make preparations for the trek ahead. Besides, we are going to spend the next couple of hours enjoying the view and acclimatizing our bodies to the drastic change in altitude. Afterward, we will begin our hike, enjoying scenic views around us. The trails ahead descend the valley with stunning views of Kusum Kangaru (6367m/2088ft). Moving ahead, you will come across several Buddhist monasteries, farmlands, and village settlements. Finally, after around 5 hours of hiking, we arrive at Phakding village, where we will be spending the night at a well-facilitated tea house.

Today the hike will be challenging than the day before. After having breakfast, we will descend downhill and cross a suspension bridge. Moving ahead, we will gradually hike uphill for over 3 hours, making our way to Monjo village, which is the entry point of Sagarmatha National Park. We make a quick stop and resume our hike through several hamlets, settlements, and farmlands before we arrive at Namche Bazaar, the tourist hub of the Khumbu region. The village is filled with aesthetic cafes, restaurants, and museums, which you can explore to pass the remaining time in the evening.

Today is the first rest day of the expedition, and we will acclimatize our body before we head any further. However, it does not mean we will remain ideal for the entire day. After a hearty breakfast, we will hike to Everest View Hotel to enjoy glorious views of the surrounding landscape and snowcapped mountains. On the other hand, you can opt to explore Namche Bazaar and relax in a local cafe or restaurant.

The hike resumes as we depart from our teahouse at Namche and follow the trail towards Tyangboche. Along the way, you will have stunning views of Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Everest, Mt. Thamserku, and Mt. Ama Dablam. Further ahead, you will hike through thick pine and rhododendron forests, and cross a suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi river. Eventually, you will arrive at Phungi Thanga, a small village settlement, where we will have a brief stop. The trek today ends as we arrive at Tyangboche, our destination for today. Besides, along the way, you will have the opportunity to explore Tyangboche monastery.

As you make preparations and kick off the hike in the morning, you will marvel at the breathtaking sunrise over surrounding mountain peaks. The trail ahead leads you to Imja Khola from where we will make a steep descent through thick rhododendron and birch forests. Along the way, you will also pass by several chortens and Buddhist nunnery. Moving ahead, as you approach the beautiful village of Dingboche, you will be welcomed by a beautiful view of Mt. Pumori.

As you have reached the high altitude area of the region, your body needs to adapt to the atmospheric changes and dropping oxygen levels. So, today is our second acclimatization day. You will opt to rest and relax in the teahouse or explore nearby villages such as Imja and Chhukung. On the other hand, if you can, you can also commence short hikes to Nagarjun Hill, which is a popular vantage point of the region.

Today, ascending to Duglha via the Khumbu Khola Valley will be the first portion of the hike. The path ahead is slightly challenging due to rocky and steep terrains. Along the way, you will see prayer flags and monuments, which have been set as a tribute to climbers who perished during their expedition to summit Mount Everest. As you move forward, you will be greeted by views of Lingtren(6,750m), Khumbuste(6,640m), and Pumori(7,160m). Finally, after 5 hours of hiking, you will arrive at Lobuche. We spend the night at a tea house and take a much-needed rest.

After an early morning breakfast in Lobuche, we will begin our hike to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep. Today is the highlight of the Luxury EBC Chola Pass Gokyo Trek as you will be able to witness the winter wonderland of the Khumbu region at its finest. After a three-hour hike, you will arrive at Gorakshep, where we will have lunch. After the short break, the journey continues to Everest Base Camp. From here, you will have panoramic views of surrounding mountain peaks such as Pumori, Khumbutse, and Nuptse. When you finish enjoying the vantage point, we will retrace our steps back to Gorakhshep, where will be spending the night.

Besides, along the way, you will marvel at the glorious views of Mt. Ama Dablam, and Chola Lake as you ascend through rocky terrains. After hours of hiking through dense forests and icy terrain, you will finally arrive at Thannak via Cho la Pass.

To complete the hike today, we will wake up early in the morning and hit the trails towards Gokyo. Moving ahead, you will cross Ngozumpa Glacier, one of the longest in Nepal. From here, you will marvel at the serene icy terrains surrounding you. After the brief stop, we resume our hike. Along the way, you will be able to witness Gokyo Lakes, a few of the highest-placed freshwater lake systems in the world. After three hours of ascending through the landscapes, we arrive at the teahouse, where we will spend the night.

Today, we head on towards Gokyo Ri departing from the tea house in Gokyo. From the summit, you will be able to see majestic views of Lhotse, Makalu, and Mount Everest. After enjoying the wonderful vistas, we will make our way to explore the serene Gokyo Lakes. The day ends as we descend to Gokyo and follow the trail towards Machhermo, our destination for the night. We will walk alongside Dudh Koshi River until we arrive at the tea house.

After having a delicious breakfast in the morning, we leave the beautiful village of Machhermo behind and head downhill to Namche Bazaar. Upon your arrival at the teahouse, you will enjoy a warm shower and relax for the rest of the evening.
