The chances of Altitude Sickness are minimal

Trekking at high altitudes poses a potential risk of altitude sickness due to the low level of oxygen in the atmosphere. However, student tours in Nepal are designed so travelers are unlikely to be affected by the illness. The elevation gain is minimal, which allows your body to adapt and acclimate appropriately. Regardless, we suggest you hike at a slow and gradual pace and remain hydrated along the trail. Moreover, we highly recommend listening to your body and informing your tour guide if you experience dizziness, nausea, etc. This will allow our staff to respond quickly and provide you with immediate medical attention.

Physical fitness required for this tour

Students with moderate fitness levels can efficiently complete the tour without any issues. The trip includes adventurous outdoor activities, including rafting, hiking, and canoeing, which require a fit and healthy body. Students generally participate in sports, so their bodies are well-tuned for such exciting activities. Regardless, we recommend you prepare physically with the help of basic exercises like running, jogging, and swimming. These workouts will not only build up and strengthen your core muscles but also enhance your stamina. Ultimately, you will feel less fatigued and strained while trekking in the rocky terrains of the Annapurna region. Indulging yourself in such exercises will also make your body flexible, allowing you to walk without injuring yourself along the trail.
