ItineraryTrip day to day detail itinerary

Note: Our Everest Luxury Trek usually begins with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. However, due to high air traffic expansion, flights will be operated from Ramechhap (Manthali) during peak seasons such as April, May, October, and November. In such cases, you will be transported from Kathamndu to Manthali in a private vehicle. The relaxing journey will last approximately 4 to 5 hours.

On a clear day, the excitement of flying into Kathmandu is breathtaking. A series of unforgettable moments that last with you for a very long time starts with the nearly orgasmic vistas of snow-capped mountain peaks stretching down below you. Our friendly support staff will receive you when your airline lands on the tarmac and take you to your Hotel. Once you have finished the visa process and picked up your bags at the airport, please head to the arrival hall exit. You can find your trip leader waiting for you outside the arrival hall, and they will take you to your Kathmandu hotel.

  • Max. Altitude: 1350m/4430ft
  • Accommodation: 4 - Star Hotel
  • Transportation: Private Vehicles

Helicopter Option: You can book a helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla for an additional charge of USD 600 per person. It is the best alternative to avoid the long ride to Manthali by road.

The day before the flight, pack your bags for the journey. Flights to Lukla are usually offered from Kathmandu in January, February, June, July, August, September, and December, which are the off-peak months. Please be advised that the airline alone makes the option to continue operating flights, and the number of passengers impacts that decision in a given month. We get up between five and six a.m. today. Our employees will take you to the Kathmandu domestic airport, where you will catch a 35-minute flight to Lukla. You are scheduled to arrive at Tenzing Hillary Airport early in the morning.

We are hiking to Phakding today. The path is simple. We leave Lukla and follow the Dudh Koshi River as it flows downward. The path joins the Namche Bazaar trail just above Chaurikharka (2,713 m). Moving on, we reach the tiny village of Ghat, and after a final push, you will arrive at the destination for today at Phakding village.

Useful InformationGood to know before you travel

Meals Available During the Luxury Everest Trek

We will provide three meals during the Everest Luxury Trek: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Remember that the menu will vary depending on the tea houses and lodges. Some everyday items in these establishments are dal bhat, momo, oatmeal, pizza, tibetan bread, etc. Besides, we encourage you not to intake excessive amounts of meat during the trek, as the rising elevation will impact your body, and you could suffer from gastronomical issues. Please let us know if you have a special dietary requirement. This will allow us to pass on this message to your Guide, who will ensure your preferences are fulfilled along the trek.

Accommodation in Kathmandu

During your overnight stay in Kathmandu, we will arrange a room for you in a five-star hotel. The establishment will be near most dining and shopping attractions in the city's center. The Hotel features modern designs and offers deluxe services and amenities. If you have a travel partner, breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided on a twin-sharing basis. On the other hand, if you want to travel alone, we will make the necessary arrangements upon your request.

Accommodation in the Trek

The accommodation facilities along the trails are some of the best tea houses in the region. They provide spacious rooms with attached bathrooms, high-quality cuisine, and warm hospitality. Moreover, additional services such as hot water, Wi-Fi, charging, a heater, and an extra blanket are also provided upon request. Some of the establishments you'll be staying at during the expedition are Yeti Mountain Home (Phakding and Namche), Rivendell (Deboche), New EBC (Lobuche), Himalaya (GorakShep), and Mountain Heritage (Dingboche)

Essential Infromation

  • Passport, Visa, and Entry Requirements
  • Passport: All foreign travelers visiting Nepal must have a valid passport with a 6-month validity beyond the planned departure.
  • Visa: A visa can be obtained upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport or before arrival through diplomatic missions and Nepalese embassies. A Nepal visa can also be issued at entry points if you enter Nepal by land.

Visa Fees:

  • 15 days – US$ 30
  • 30 days – US$ 50
  • 90 days – US$ 125

Note: We advise you to verify the visa requirements, as they depend on your country of origin. You should also check the transit country requirements during your travel to Nepal.

Will I need travel insurance?

Travel insurance is mandatory for any adventurer seeking a glorious journey in Nepal. We advise you to get one that covers an emergency helicopter evacuation. This will ensure your safe return and medical treatment in case of Acute Mountain Sickness or other accidents. So, we recommend you review the insurance and its coverage before you visit Nepal. You must bring the insurance certificate with you and leave a copy of it to your relatives. Besides, it also ensures that the insurance provides adequate protection for the activities involved in the Luxury Everest trek.

Guide and staff ratio on the trek?

Our staff members at Outfitter Nepal possess a deep passion for outdoor adventures and exploration. Our associates and representatives have experiences that span almost a decade, navigating through the isolated trails and laps of the highest peaks of Nepal. We take great pride in calling them adventure specialist due to their qualification and diverse skill range. Most of our guides were born in these parts of Nepal and know adequately about the region and its unique landscape. During the Everest Luxury Trek, the expedition will be led by a guide with one porter for every two travelers and one assistant guide for 3. Our staff members will help you navigate the off-beaten trails in the Himalayas and share their past experiences to create a memorable journey for you.

What are the safety measures?

Outfitter Nepal prioritizes the safety of our clients and ensures their well-being during their travel with us. Our Everest Luxury Trek itinerary is devised with proper acclimatization days and walking hours. The Guide assigned to the trek will also look after any warning signs of altitude sickness and take the necessary steps to resolve the issue. You must note that the Guide can halt or end the trek due to illness, weather changes, and natural disasters. We advise you to follow the tips and guidance of our staff members to avoid any risk of hazards such as injury.

Baggage and Weight Limits

Our clients will have a duffel bag for packing their gear and equipment. The duffel bags will have a carrying capacity of approximately 80 liters. We advise you to keep the duffel bag weight limit under 15 kg because the baggage allowance for Nepal's domestic airlines is 15 kg, including a 10 kg duffel bag and a 5kg backpack. You must also note that a porter's maximum weight limit during the expedition is 30 kg. Besides, only carry what is necessary for your day pack, as the light load will ensure a more enjoyable trekking experience.

Do I need to join a fixed departure, or can I schedule my travel dates?

We arrange trips on both fixed departure and private basis. If you want to join a group expedition, please check our departures section for dates, prices, and availability. On the other hand, if you are looking forward to traveling independently or with your families, friends, or colleagues, you can commence the trek at your convenience. We can also tailor a trek to suit your preferences and requirements.
