    Tilicho Lake Trek in Nepal

I engaged in a month-long trip to Nepal with my mother in December 2011 (my post says Jul 12, but that is because my original post was deleted - this is a re-post). I started corresponding with Arjun from Outfitter Nepal early in the year and his responses were always prompt and informative, regardless of how many questions I had.

We did the 16-day Annapurna trek with guide Raz and fantastic porters. The porters were truly remarkable and helped my mother and I with our daypacks at the top of Thorong La pass where we struggled a bit to keep pace.

Raz was learning French, but did very well in guiding us in French throughout the trip. He was patient, did not push us, allowed us to walk at our speed. We tailored the trip to add a loop to reach lake Tilicho which was wonderful.

The company also organized the flight into Pokhara, a few days of relaxation for us in Pokhara, a sightseeing flight to see Mount Everest and extra days into the Nepalese countryside. What impressed me most was their energy, professionalism, honesty, and very reasonable prices for a tailored trip approach. I definitely want to re-visit Nepal at some point and they will be the first to know so they can help me plan my next adventure.

Highly recommend, do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions or want more info.

The Ghorepani and Poon Hill Trek

We went trekking for 4 nights on the Poon Hill trail - it was a great experience. The views of the mountains and countryside are beautiful and the local people are very welcoming.

Outfitters Nepal are excellent - Arjun, when we arranged the tour, answered all my dumb questions patiently and our guide Raj was tremendous. Everything was very well organized. We met Raj at our hotel in Kathmandu and he accompanied us on the bus to Pokhara, organized the taxi to the hotel in Pokhara, organized the transport to the start of the trek, it was all seamless.(We always travel independently so we are used to arriving in a strange country and getting a guide book out to sort out how we get around.

It was a wonderful treat to be so well taken care of.) Throughout the hike Raj took excellent care of everything-but in a very friendly laid back way- if we wanted to stop for a breather/ drink then that was good. He knew the route very well so he always gave a very accurate description of how long each section would take us, and whether it was up or down.

Our stuff was carried by a very kind young man whose name we cant spell. So all we had to do was walk up and down the hills!!! I This was our first trek but we have got bitten by the bug. Hopefully one day we will be able to go back to Nepal and we wouldnt dream of trekking with any other company.

    Bhaktapur and Patan Tour

Myself and my husband were also part of the walking group that visited Nepal last November on a trip we never thought we would be lucky enough to do. Other Reviewers have given details so we would just like to thank NG, Raj, Ronjit, Birodh and all the crew for what was also for us the " trip of a lifetime ".

Outfitter Nepal are a Nepalese Company with local knowledge and experience and they were outstanding.

They are a Company that really cares for their customers, we could not recommend them highly enough. We hope to be lucky enough to visit Nepal again and we wish NG and Raj.

Annapurna Base camp was a Blast

Had a tour with Outfitters in early 2013. Our tour guide was the best we saw on the trip, very nice to talk to and felt like great friends. He took care of everything we needed, no problem.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time. We also did the rafting which was so much fun. Overall the entire trip went off without any major hickups.

    Everest Base Camp Helicopter Trek

Although I didn't make it to base camp due to altitude sickness it was still an amazing experience.

The guides are knowledgeable and always willing to help and really love their country. When I got flown out one stayed behind to make sure everything went of smoothly.

You'll also be able to say you landed at Lukla. I'd love to go back at some point !!

    Ghorepani Trek in Nepal

This travel agency boss is really great Oh!! His name called Raj, petite, but language ability actually quite stick!

The first day I met him, he was very gentleman introduced himself, but also take the initiative to help Our reunion ling bags, although he had hired little brothers (foot doctor) to help move luggage, but he rarely beck and call them, but working with them!! also give them a good living environment, from the question of their own people way to reach out to a guest.

it is sparing no effort to give us the best, the water is gone, water supply, live cold, plus is the way to Poon Hill can also hear a lot of local customs, and habits, To the last day before leaving, but also, and they dance together, convivial atmosphere so I still cannot however forget that this is a happy country, but also by the country he took me a taste of this cute!!

School Trip to Kathmandu and Poon Hill

I am a teacher from a Singapore school, and from the 30th of Nov till the 9th of Dec I traveled with 2 other teachers and 17 students to Kathmandu and Poon Hill with Outfitter Nepal. The trip was not only excellent from start to end, the staff from Outfitter Nepal took every opportunity to ensure that we were safe, happy and healthy.

Our experience included a 4D3N trek to Poon Hill which, under the expert guides from Outfitter Nepal, was an unforgettable experience for me, my colleagues and our students. They were not only super skilled at their job, they also traveled at a comfortable pace and were patient with us. Lodgings and food throughout the trek were wonderfully managed as well - we even had a campfire under the stars with singing and dancing on our last night of the trek.

Our trip also included reliable pick up from the airport and transport to Pokhara from Kathmandu and back. We also had a day tour around Kathmandu by an English-speaking guide and a cultural experience with local cuisine at a local restaurant on our last night, all planned for by Outfitter.

To say that they made our job as teachers taking care of 17 students would be an understatement - Raj Kumar and Rajesh were excellent, friendly and trustworthy from start to end.

I highly recommend them and will definitely be using them in future!

Responsible Company for Everest Base camp Trek

My friend and I booked the 12 days EBC trekking package from Outfitter Nepal. This was our 2nd time to Nepal. We were very excited and thrilled of the altitude.

Nevertheless, on the 7th day of our trek, the devastating Nepal Earthquake happened. We are really blessed and protected by God throughout the next 6 days, and I think one of the biggest reason is because we have good support of mountain guide Raj, assistant mountain guide Sunil and porters who had worked their very best to ensure our remaining trek as safe as possible.

    (1) Comfort
On the days before the earthquake, the teahouse that we stayed are reasonably comfortable (we have make mental preparation that we are coming for trekking tour, not luxury tour). Some even with hot shower!

On the days after the earthquake, the team really worked their best to get us safe, undamaged teahouse to stay. I was really blessed that none of the day I need to stay in a tent or dining hall. Many do not have places to stay, or have to sleep in dining hall / corridor. I'm thankful to our porters.

Every day they RUN (imagine to run downhill with aftershocks and landslide happened, not to forget at least 20+kg loaded on their back!) to the next village in order to secure room booking for us. During that period of time, phone network was down and it's impossible to made phone booking with the teahouse. They are like superhero.

    (2) Safety
We have 1 head guide and 1 assistance guide for a group of 11 people. Usually the assistance guide will lead the group with the head guide as the last. Every night our head guide Raj will provide a briefing on the next day trek details after dinner. He is full of experience on the trek and can spell out the details of the trek to the team. Personally I find the briefing is really useful for mental preparation. Yeap, I didn't read the itinerary.

On the day the earthquake happened, when all network was down, we rely on word of mouth and were clueless on the severity of the earthquake. Our head guide made the decision of descend base on info on hand. The decision was made for safety reason. We had met another group that delay the decision of descend and the whole group end up have to stay put in dining hall at the last pit stop - Lukla.

    (3) Fun
We have fun and exciting moments throughout the trek. Even though after the crisis happen, with worries on our mind, we still try to have some fun (in a subdue way). Our mountain guide and assistance guide, though worried of their friends and families in Kathmandu and their village, has been very supportive to us. It was a sad moment, and I think only by understanding and respect each other can the whole team pull it through the crisis.

The Outfitter team works far more than what I had mentioned above. I'm safely back home without any severe health / injury issue. I always have access to food, clean water and lodging during the days of crisis. Despite I do not have money to pay for flight from Biratnagar to Kathmandu (during crisis there were no small aircraft being able to land in Kathmandu Airport ), the company had prepaid for my flight to get back to Kathmandu. They are sincere people. They did their best to keep us safe though they have bigger worries and urgency for their home and family.

Words couldn't express how much I appreciate what the Outfitter Nepal team has done. The beauty of Nepal and Nepalese will always remain in my heart.
