Very well organised day tour. Our tour guide was the best and very well informed about local culture and also the villages we passed through.

We didn't get the dream sunrise as it was cloudy but we still got some awesome pictures.

I would highly recommended this tour to anyone.

My wife and I just returned from a wonderful track vacation in Nepal. We ‎have tracked from Pokhara to the Annapurna Base Camp via Poon Hill.‎ The entire vacation was arranged by the helpful team at Outfitter Nepal. Arjun ‎and the team were extremely informative, responsive and helpful from the early days ‎of planning the trip and assisted us to make the right choices as for the most suitable ‎track for us. We have received from them a complete and detailed schedule for our ‎track. ‎

The package they gave us included all the internal flights, transportation and ‎accommodation. Upon arrival to Nepal our excellent guide Raj met us at the airport ‎and took us to our Kathmandu hotel. Raj was also helpful in assisting us to buy some ‎missing equipment items for our track.‎

After a day sight-seeing in Kathmandu we arrived to Pokhara spent the night ‎and started our track. ‎

The track was challenging for us but we enjoyed every minute and the ‎magnificence of the trails the mountains made it all worth. Raj our guide was very ‎knowledgeable and helpful throughout the track and his assistance was very helpful ‎during the hard parts of the track.‎

Outfitter Nepal was very good and are highly recommended. For us, this will ‎be a vacation to be with great memories.‎

If you're thinking of going to Nepal - just do it… and if you are wavering about whether or not to book a guide and porter, again, just do it! Outfitter Nepal took all of the stress and worry out of our trip, gave us interesting facts and information as we trekked, kept our morale up when blisters were biting, translated so we could talk to local people, and made sure that we were safe when a blizzard came down quickly one afternoon.

We booked Outfitter Nepal on the recommendation of a friend to guide us (my husband and I) on the Annapurna Base Camp Trek and to take us on an afternoon white water rafting. You can self-guide on that trek, but Birodh and Ramesh really made the trip for us. We would not have got half as much out of the experience without their input - their ongoing advice and chirpy guidance was invaluable.

Birodh, our guide, far surpassed our expectations. His English was excellent: he's a bright self-motivated masters student who was able to explain amongst other things the Nepalese caste system (now officially outlawed), the history of villages we passed through, and habits of local fauna.

Although most guest house owners can speak passable English it was really useful to have Birodh translate: we felt we got a much deeper insight and most 'honest' understanding of the country, rather than just exchanging pleasantries.

As part of a small (3 tourists) group I did the 12-days Everest Base Camp trek with Outfitter Nepal in mid-November 2017. Our guide was Ram. 

The trip was very well organized. The Outfitter Nepal representatives answered all my emails quickly (within 12 hours typically) and thoroughly covered my questions. Ram is an excellent guide, very patient, clear in his instructions and with solid English communication skills. 

All three of us made it to the Base Camp and to the top of Kala Patthar without any major sufferings. We were definitely fortunate, each day I was seeing a couple of helicopter flights taking people down the mountain. The weather in mid-November was perfect, clouds were extremely rare and the views crystal clear.

No delays in or out of Lukla either. It was very cold (even at 3000 meters the outside night temperatures were close to freezing.). Gorashek (5200 meters) was the only place were the water froze in a bottle inside the room at night time. Bring a light thermos and buy boiled water to nurse your throat at night time. Keep the thermos inside the sleeping bag. 

The lodges we stayed in were always very clean (including the toilets). Up to Namche Bazaar there are many lodging options, so it's probably possible to stay in more upscale ones but beyond that they are more or less the same. The food was included in the trip price. It was tasty but clearly insufficient for a bigger guy (185 pounds) in conditions of sustained effort at high altitude. Same experience for a friend of mine doing Annapurna circuit a few years ago.

There is plenty of rice and potatoes and you can get some cheese and plenty of eggs (Ram advised us that above Namche Bazaar we should not eat meat). By the time we got to Lobuche I was almost starving (I was getting hungry 2 hours after any meal). After running through all my energy bars I started eating 12 eggs a day (4 at each meal). That proved almost enough. 

Another aspect of the trek is the cost structure (which doesn't have anything to do with the trekking company; it's all about how the lodge owners do business): lodging and the meals are not that expensive (even though they do get more expensive the higher you are).

But the locals make good money out of selling any amenities which are considered standard in other circumstances. This is understandable once you see the sherpas carrying massive loads over tens of km at high altitudes. For example a roll of toilet paper is $3, a small Coca-Cola is $3. Charging your phone is $3 - $5. A liter of boiled water is $2 to $3.5. So you definitely need to budget at least $10 a day($15 above 4000 meters) for the little but necessary things. 

Getting a cold/sore throat: all lodges have a single heating room: the restaurant/kitchen/communal area. And many of the people there will be sick, exhausted, coughing etc. I held up well until Gorashek and managed to get a serious sore throat and running nose (no fever) just about when we were going down and it didn't matter so much anymore.

Taking some medicine preemptively might be a good idea to address this unavoidable situation.

We booked a 2 week tour with Arjun and he arranged a Kathmandu city tour and all the hotels as part of our Poon Hill trek.

Well managed given we made some last minute changes although be advised the Ghorepani Poon hill trek is NOT easy as stated in the online descriptions. It's very difficult unless you're a very active and agile person and have trained for the trek - so be advised.

Overall was a very good experience.

I highly recommend booking with Outfitter Nepal. Prior to my trip, I researched and inquired with a few trekking companies. I was deciding between Outfitter and another company offering a lower price but finally chose Outfitter Nepal because their package includes all the sightseeing fees compared to the other one which didn't.

I am glad I made the right choice! I found out that if I calculate the entrance fees it would cost the same as what I paid Outfitter. Also, we met a couple during our trekk who booked with the other company and they were dissatisfied with what the service they got.

They are very easy to work with and totally flexible with the schedule. Originally our trekk was supposed to be 5 days but we ended doing it in four days because we wanted to spend more time in Pokhara and do paragliding.

Our guide, Amar, is an experienced guide and he was really really nice and funny and communicates well in English! We were well taken care of during the trekking and he made sure that we got good and comfortable accommodation.

On our second to the last day, we had dinner with Raj, one of the owners and he was really nice and sincere to know our feedback and how can they help them improve their service. I don't have any complaints really just amazing time and good memories and I do hope that they get more business because they take good care of their guides and porters.

I highly recommend booking with them! I can't wait to go back and do the EBC trek!

My wife Vicky Wolfe and I did the Annapurna Base Camp trek with Outfitter Nepal last November.

I can only say it was fantastic. Our guide Amar could not have been more friendly or helpful on the 8-day trek. My only quibble was that because so many people were also out trekking, it was not always possible to stop the night where we had planned as the teahouses do not take bookings except from big groups.

But when all is said and done, that was a pretty minor inconvenience in an otherwise magical trip. Overall, I cannot fault Outfitter Nepal.

Setting up the visit, they were always prompt replying to emails and unfailingly helpful.

Our visit could not have gone more smoothly.

Completing the trek to Everest Base Camp has been on my must do list for a long time, and I am so grateful that I chose Outfitter Nepal as the company to go on the adventure with! All my Pre trip queries were promptly answered via email in a friendly and professional manner.

From the time we were greeted at the airport by our guide to the drop off at the end of the trip the whole Outfitter Nepal Team did a fantastic job looking after us, making sure all our needs were met and we had the best time possible.

Our guides for the trek (Birodh and Suraj) were amazing! Very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and lots of fun. They did a super job of managing the group and ensuring that everyone had the support they needed to successfully make it to Base Camp. It was not an easy job as our large group of 16 was varied in hiking experience and and capabilities, but they managed it very well.

The trek itself certainly didn't disappoint, with the most breathtaking scenery in the world greeting us every day. We had fantastic clear sunny weather with the exception of our fly in and out of Lukla days. Unfortunately this resulted in flight cancellations and delays which of course were out of the companies control.

Luckily they were able to arrange helicopter flights instead ( at a reasonable extra cost) so we were still able to complete our journey as planned. The helicopter flights themselves became another exciting highlight of the trip!

I have no reservations in recommending Outfitter Nepal, and will certainly use them again if I return to Nepal (hopefully to take my kids trekking one day)!
