Short trekking in Nepal is popular as not all the traveler have long holiday to do longer treks in Nepal and not all the people are physically fit to do long adventure treks in high altitude. The short treks are located in lower altitude and can be done without any previous experience and suitable for kids, students and senior citizens as well.

Short treks in Nepal includes a day trek Champadevi to 9-Day trek to Langtang valley. You can find trek in Nepal according to the days you have. The short treks in Nepal goes to the lover altitude and mostly goes through hill tops, valleys, river valleys, forests and mountain terraces. You have great views of Himalayas on our short treks in Nepal.

Nepal is paradise for the mountain trekking and hiking. Nepal offers many high Himalayas, however there are plenty of places where you can do short treks. The short treks are easier than long trekking so, any people with any fitness level can do short trekking in Nepal.

Champadevi Day Trek- 1 Day

Champadevi day hike starts from Pharping, Kathmandu. You drive to reach Pharping then start trek to Champedevi hill that takes about 3-4 hours to reach the hill top.  The Champadevi hill is located at the elevation of 2285 meter above sea level. You can view western Himalayan ranges from Champa devi. You then trek back to Pharping and drive back to your hotel.

Nagarkot Trek- 2 days

Nagarkot trek is a short 2 - day trek in Nepal. The Nagarkot trek starts with drive from Kathmandu to Sakhu (the trek start point). The 2-day short trek then starts from Sakhu to Nagarkot. It takes about 3-4 hours to reach Nagarkot. You have great sunset view from Nagarkot and overnight stay at Nagarkot. You then have sunrise view over the Himalayas in next morning.

The short trek goes further to the Chagunarayan temple next day. The trek takes about 3-4 hours to reach Chagunarayan temple. The Chagunarayan temple is one of the UNESCO cultural heritages sites in Kathmandu. You visit the temple and also have lunch there and take drive to Kathmandu to conclude the trek.

Chisapani - Naagarkot Trek- 3 days

Chisapani-Nagarkot is a short 3-day trek in Nepal. Chisapani-Nagarkot trek starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal (the trek start point) and the trek starts to Chisapani. You trek about 5-6 hours to reach Chisapani and you trek through the forest of the Shivapuri National park. You see the great views of the Himalayas and rivers valleys from the Chisapani.

The trek then goes to Nagarkot, it takes about 5-6 hours to reach Nagarkot from Chisapani. You have great Himalayan views and sunset set view from Nagarkot. You also have sunrise view from Nagarkot next morning and trek down to Chagunarayan temple. After visiting the Chagunarayan temple and lunch there, you take drive to Kathmandu to conclude the trek.

Kathmandu Ridge Trek- 4 days

Kathmandu valley ridge trek is short 4-day trek around the ridges of Kathmandu valley. Kathmandu is surrounded by hills and all those hills offers nice trekking routes. The 4-day Kathmandu ridge trek starts from Sundarijal and end in Namo Buddha.

The trek starts in Sundarijal and goes to Chisapani, then to Nagarkot, then to Dhulikhel and to Namobuddha and drive back to Kathmandu. You see great view of the Himalayas and the valleys in this trek. The short treks is suitable for every one even with the kids.

Sarangkot Dhampus Trek - 3 days

The Sarangkot and Dhampus is a short trek in Nepal. The short trek to Sarangkot-Dhampus takes only 3 days that starts and ends in Pokhara.

The short trek to Sarangkot-Dhampus offers great Himalayan views and best suited for family and honey moons, beginners and people with short holidays for the trek in Nepal. You take short drive from Pokhara to Phedi then trek to Sarangkot that takes about 3 hours.

The Sarangkot is a view point from where you view the excellent views of the Pokhara valley with the Phewa lakes and great views of the Himalayan panorama are another thing that the Sarangkot has to offer. After spending a night in Sarangkot, You trek to Dhampus, another nice village of Gunurg people, the Gurungs are the local indigenous of the region and the sunset and sunrise views from the Dhampus are stunning. You then trek down to Phedi and drive to Pokhara then drive back to Kathmandu the next day to conclude the short trek.

Ghorepani- Poon Hill Trek- 5 Days

The Ghorepani-Poon Hill trek is one of the post popular trek short trek in Nepal. The trek into the Ghorepani-Poon hill can be done from 4-5 days starting and ending in Pokhara.

The short trek to Ghorepani-Poon hill offers excellent panoramic view of the Himalayas from Poon hill and the Poon Hill is the main attraction of the trek. You take short drive to Nayapul (the trekking starting place) from Pokhara, you then trek to Tikhedunga that takes 4-5 hours and you have first overnight in Mountain.

The short Ghorpeani-Poon hill trek continue to Ghorepani that takes about 6-7 hours, you trek to Poon hill to see the sunrise and you trek to Tadapani. The Tadapani also offers great Mountain View, you then trek to Ghandruk village in next day. You trek to Nayapul in the last day and take a short drive to Pokhara to conclude the trek in Pokhara.

Everest Panorama Trek- 7 days

Everest Panorama Trek is short trek in one of the popular trekking region, Everest.  The Everest region is popular trekking region in Neal that offers many trekking routes from few day to month-long trek. The Short trek to Pangbuche is for only 7 days.

The Everest panorama short trek starts with a short flight from Kathmandu to small airport at Lukla. You then trek to Phakding through Dudh Koshi Valley that takes about 3-4 hours and stay first overnight in Phakding. The trek then goes to Namche then to Tengbuche, You view the Panaroma of the Himalayas from Tengbuche including the view of Everest. You also visit the old monastery in Tengbuche.

The short trek then returns the same trail to Lukla and take flight back to Kathmandu. The short trek is suitable for all aged people and even for those who do not have previous trekking experience.  If you do not have enough day to take the full Everest base camp trek to reach the Everest Base camp and still want to view the Everest then this trek is the best.

Langtang valley trek: 9 days

The Langtang valley trek is another short trek in Nepal. The Langtang valley trek can be done from 7-9 days from Kathmandu to Kathmandu (the Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal).

The short trek to Langtang valley starts and ends in Kathmandu and it starts by a day drive from Kathmandu to Syaprubeshi. You then start the trek to the valley by following the Langtang River valley by overnight stay at Hama Hotel and Langtang village. You trek through the jungle of pine and oak.

You have then trek to Kyanjing village, the last point of the trek and you have a day to walk and see around the valley. You can trek to Kyanjing Ri or Tsegu ri view point to see the great Himalayas. You then trek back to Lama Hotel and trek higher route to reach the Syaprugaun. You then trek to Dhunche bazaar and take drive to Kathmandu to end the trek in Kathmandu.
