Best Time for Everest Base Camp Trek by Road

Our Everest Base Camp trek by road package occurs during the dry season. Due to heavy rainfall, we do not recommend commencing the excursion during the monsoon season, which lasts from June to September. As a result, there is a high chance of landslides, soil erosion, floods, and road blockages in several parts of Nepal. During the monsoon season, the roads are muddy and complicated to travel. Additionally, the heavy rainfall might affect the conditions of the road, which could create exceptional traffic and delays.

On the other hand, you can commence the trek in spring and autumn. Autumn lasts from September to November, while spring lasts from March to May. During this time of year, the climate is calm and relaxed. The sky is crisp and clear, with minimal chance of unpredictable weather changes.

Moreover, you can enjoy splendid views during most parts of the journey. Trekking to Everest Base Camp by road is also possible during the winter. However, we do not recommend it, as the freezing temperature and heavy snowfall make the expedition challenging. Regardless, with the expertise of our guides and staff members, you can complete and enjoy the trek in any condition.

Is Everest Base Camp Trek by Road Without Flight Suitable for You?

This expedition is the perfect option for travelers who want to witness the stunning scenery, waterfalls, rivers, valleys, mountains, and villages of the Khumbu region at a comfortable pace with more engagement. On the other hand, the trek is only practical for some, as you have to walk on steep and challenging terrain for multiple days. Nonetheless, completing the Everest Base Camp trek by Jeep ride No Lukla flight will be rewarding and one of the most memorable experiences of your lifetime. We advise you to check before planning this exciting journey. You must consult your physician regarding any heart or respiratory conditions you might have developed. You can complete the trek without difficulty if you have no underlying medical conditions and a fit body.

How Should You Prepare for the Trek?

To efficiently complete the Everest Base Camp by road without fly, you must be prepared physically and mentally. It would help if you had a solid mental attitude to push yourself during the challenging hikes in the expedition. Hiking up and down the rugged terrain of the Khumbu region will also place a lot of physical strain on your body. Moreover, you will carry a dayback with you, weighing around 4-6kg. So, to enjoy this remarkable trek, you need to improve your endurance level and strength. Plan your workout routine at least four days a week and 6–9 weeks before starting the trek. In your training sessions, we recommend you include workouts such as jogging, swimming, cycling, aerobatics, and weight training. As a result, it will improve your muscle strength and stamina, allowing you to intake and absorb adequate oxygen at higher altitudes.
